Seabrook is a creative experience in living with nature and the unique qualities of life found in a thoughtfully designed coastal community. This is more than a statement, rather it is a way of life constantly being considered and brought forward in new exploratory ways for residents and guests.
Studio One is new this summer. It begins with class offerings in visual art and Conversational Salon gatherings.
The offerings are 2 and 5 day classes: Sculptures created from found objects, Acrylic Painting, and The Art of Portraiture. Artistic Director Kinnebrew, prefers to be known as a mentor. Not only is he a well known artist, but a highly regarded art theorist. He brings a progressive approach to art instruction and has been referred to as uncommonly sensitive and insightful. The first step is accepting participants at virtually any level of their previous experience. These are refered to as “Open Studio” classes. Next comes discussions and individual expressions of creativity. Master Classes are smaller and generally for those with some previous experience. They are limited to 4 participants. Finally, it is not about rules but options – always about options – with no right or wrong in the studio.
