Yes, sculpture is three dimensional but also four. It is also about time. We talk about this and several other important issues pertaining to sculpture as you learn to associate. Selecting found objects from “The World”, giving them new life and meaning because that is what you intended, first for yourself and then for others to discover.
Everyday objects that were unnoticed, irrelevant but no longer, Awareness renewed, objects created with lessons learned. And too, sculpture is about planning, engineering, selecting, and improvising, but most of all sculpture is about creating with the mind.
We provide the tools but you bring the materials. Together we discuss while we create. We apply what we say to test its validity and relationship to “The World”. This is what makes an object art rather than a hobby.
